Two lectures from the Maryland Telluride Experience from 2016. To be presented at grand rounds at Metropolitan Hospital 08/2016 as part of our quality improvement education. This lecture deals with realizing that patients are more than just the pathology in their diagnosis or the summation of their complaints. And ways where stopping and looking at the whole patient can solve problems that confound us and prevent impending patient care issues as people are more complex than the H&P would suggest and knowing this can improve quality of care. Actual example cases drawn from experiences of a transplant hepatologist.
